N562 and N862 Emergency Shutoff Valves

N562 Series Emergency Shutoff Valves (ESVs) are designed for railcar protection and attach to the shutoff valves on railroad tank cars. Typically, three Type N562s are used: two on the liquid lines and one on the vapor line. Pneumatically operated, the valve is opened and closed by means of a standard quick-disconnect coupling. Remote closure from one or more points is accomplished by exhausting pressure from the valve?s piston chamber with a pneumatic control valve.
